Pichu / Lepana

Pichu or Lepana is a therapeutic Ayurvedic treatment that involves the application of a medicated paste or oil-soaked cloth to a specific area of the body. It is used to address localized pain, inflammation, and various skin conditions.

During a Pichu/Lepana session, the affected area is first cleansed and prepared. Then, a thick paste or a cloth soaked in warm medicated oil is applied to the targeted area and left in place for a specific duration. The paste or oil seeps into the tissues, delivering its therapeutic properties and promoting healing.

The specific ingredients used in the paste or oil-soaked cloth are chosen based on the individual’s condition and needs. They may include various herbs, oils, and other medicinal substances known for their healing and soothing properties.

Pichu/Lepana is commonly used for conditions such as joint pain, muscular aches, skin inflammations, and certain skin disorders. The application of the medicated paste or oil helps to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, promote tissue healing, and nourish the affected area.

The duration of a Pichu/Lepana session can vary, depending on the condition and the recommendation of the Ayurvedic practitioner. After the treatment, the paste or oil-soaked cloth is carefully removed, and the area may be gently cleaned or massaged.

It is important to receive Pichu/Lepana from a qualified Ayurvedic therapist who can customize the treatment based on individual needs. As with any Ayurvedic treatment, it is advisable to consult with a trained practitioner or healthcare professional before undergoing Pichu/Lepana, particularly if you have specific medical conditions or concerns.
